This course introduces microgrids as an innovative solution for improving energy resilience in communities and regions. Participants will learn about the design and operation of microgrids, as well as their contribution to greater stability and autonomy in energy supply.

General Course Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of energy resilience and the key concepts associated with it.
  • Understand the basic operation of a microgrid.
  • Assess energy needs and select appropriate technologies.
  • Design and size microgrids with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.
  • Manage energy generation, storage, and monitoring within a microgrid.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and monitoring of microgrid systems.
